A question came in asking about the statue of “Mr. Smedley” which was put into place at the Grace Street entrance to Sixth Street Marketplace at the old Blue Point Seafood Restaurant in 1985 and removed in 2004 while the failed downtown mall was being torn down. We found the bronze statue laying face down in Styrofoam at a storage facility. Let’s find it a home Richmond!
